National Minority Health Month

Written on 04/12/2021

National Minority Health Month is designed to raise awareness about the health disparities that affect racial and ethnic minority populations. It encourages action through health education and provides a good landing page to get the conversation going.

As three COVID-19 vaccines are being offered now, it's only fitting that the theme for NMHM 2021 is #VaccineReady.

Keep updated on the featured resources section this week on an article further explaining the importance of NMHM, an interactive with vaccine myths vs. facts and an interactive video on what doctor's want you to know when it comes to receiving the vaccine. Last not but least, come back Friday as a tribal member speaks on the importance of it all!

We can all do our part educating ourselves and empowering others this National Minority Health Month.
