National Day of Awareness for MMIW and Girls

Written on 05/03/2021

National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls is on Wednesday, May 5. Although social distancing and "shelter-in-place" orders may prevent some organized marches or meetings, you and your community can still participate in raising awareness for this epidemic.

Consider wearing red on Wednesday, posting a photo onto social media with the respective hashtags or registering for the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center webinar.

Also stay updated this week as we provide additional resources on this pressing issue. After all, it will only improve as awareness spreads, communities come together and action is taken. We must fight to end it.
