Organizations around the country celebrate National Wear Red Day on February 5. The day falls within National Heart Month, celebrated each year to bring greater attention to heart disease as the leading cause of death in Americans. Wear Red Day specifically zones in on cardiovascular disease within women, as one in three will be diagnosed in their lifetime.
Do your part in spreading the word by baring the color red with your attire. Be sure to educate others as to why you got dressed the way you did and share resources for those who would like additional information. A few that are credible include www.goredforwomen.org, www.ihs.gov or even our Native Reach app, where we share featured resources weekly!
