It is back-to-school time for area students, and it's essential to take preventive measures to protect yourself and your loved ones. In addition to area districts’ required vaccinations, consider getting the annual flu vaccination this fall.

According to the CDC, flu vaccines are recommended for everyone six months and older, especially those at higher risk of developing serious complications, such as older adults, young children, pregnant women, and individuals with chronic health conditions. It's important to get vaccinated every year, as the virus changes, and the vaccine is updated to match the strains most likely to circulate. The best time to get vaccinated is by the end of October, before flu activity begins to increase in our community.

Give us a call today to schedule your appointment and help keep our community safe. Call 918-588-1900 to schedule. Flu vaccinations are open to active IHCRC patients only. Visit our website at www.ihcrc.org/new-patients  to enroll as a patient.
