National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Written on 10/25/2021

Domestic violence can happen to anyone, in every community, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race or religion. In the nation specifically, over 10 million adults experience domestic violence annually, with one in four women and one in ten men victims to the statistic. Now more than ever, it’s time to wrap a blanket of hope around that number and lower it indefinitely. Although easier said than done, it can be done.

Keep updated on the Featured Resources section of the app this week for ways to spot the potential of domestic violence within a relationship and the plethora of platforms available for one to get help.

Relationships shouldn't be rooted in violence. If you feel your own relationship is, or know of anyone's who might be, take action and seek help today.
